Terms of Use
Cortex Culture app — last updated: 13 October 2026
By using Cortex Culture, and in particular by creating an account, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
1. Publisher
The app is published by Yanis DENIZOT, as an individual. Publisher and hosting providers: legal notice.
Hosting: Railway Corp. (railway.com) for the server and database, Cloudflare, Inc. (cloudflare.com) for images.
Contact: contact@cortexculture.app
2. The service
Cortex Culture offers series of short articles to read and general-knowledge games. It can be used without an account; an account lets you restore your progress on another device, add friends and follow their achievements.
So that the daily challenge leaderboards are never empty, some participants shown in them may be simulated by the app; their scores are modelled on those of real players. They do not answer friend requests, win nothing, and change neither your score nor your experience points.
3. Your account
- Creating an account is for people aged 15 and over. Reading the series and playing without an account remains open to everyone.
- You should take reasonable care to keep your credentials confidential, and tell us about any unauthorised access you become aware of.
- By creating an account, you accept these terms and confirm you have read the privacy policy.
- You can delete your account at any time: Me → Settings → Delete my account.
4. Code of conduct — zero tolerance
- Usernames, first names and last names are filtered automatically when you type them. A first or last name must be your own.
- Every player can report a username and block another player, from their friends list or profile.
- Reports are reviewed as quickly as we can, usually within 24 hours. A username that breaks these rules is replaced with a neutral name; in case of repeated abuse, the account may be suspended or deleted.
- These decisions are made by a person, never by a machine alone. If you believe a decision is unfair, write to contact@cortexculture.app: we answer, and we reverse it if we got it wrong.
5. App content
The texts, questions, illustrations and design of Cortex Culture are protected. Third-party images are used in accordance with their licence or legal status (including the public domain) and credited where required. You may use the content for your personal use; you may not copy or redistribute it outside the app.
6. Accuracy and availability
We check the content carefully but cannot guarantee it is free of every error. If you find one, write to us. The app may be interrupted for maintenance or change at any time.
7. Your data
How it is processed is described in the privacy policy.
8. Changes and governing law
These terms may change; the current version is always published at this address, and a significant change is signalled inside the app. They are governed by French law.
